Utility Incentives

Xcel has a rebate program for their Colorado front-range counties, for reducing the demand during the peak load times (air conditioning) ..basically 3 PM to 7 PM, weekdays, June, July and August. This applies in the Denver Metro area, Greeley, and about one row of counties West from the front range. We have access to these rebates, and they can reduce the cost significantly.

Platt River Power Authority offers a similar rebate for Longmont, Loveland, Estes Park and Fort Collins. The cities of Longmont and Fort Collins add to this rebate, so that it can pay up to one-half of the cost. For Loveland and Estes Park, the subsidy can pay up to one-third of the cost. We have access to these rebates as well.

Both programs require a thorough application, as well as before and after inspections. We work with both programs, and they can take a year or more off of the pay-back period.
